Baby Face

a performance by Katy Dye

Poster Image and Design, Video Trailer

A poster for Baby Face. A white woman wearing a red dummy and red bow and blue and white checkered shirt stares into the camera covering herself in talcum powder.

A3 Poster

Hey Baby! Welcome to a world of knee socks, bunches, lollypops, bubble gum and models adopting the childlike expressions of six year old girls. A daring exploration into the paradox of living in a society that continues to infantilise women. Paedophilia is not ok yet fetishised images of women as pre-pubescent girls are. In this brave and outlandish performance a grown woman attempts to be your baby to discover if innocence really is as sexy as we’re told it is.

Katy and I have worked together on images and trailers for developments of this show for years, but it was finally ready for a Fringe run in August 2018 where we used this image for these designs and the trailer.

The same image again from the baby face poster, in a smaller format.

Front of A5 Flyer

Back of the flyer is a sweet pink colour and reads, Paedophilia is not ok yet fetishised images of women as prebubescent girls are. A quote reads "A complex, clever solo that doesn't dodge uncomfortable questions." from the Scottish Herald.

Trailer for the Summerhall fringe run

I also filmed documentation of the performance, which went down great at the Fringe. This meant we could make a new video trailer for the tour with live footage and bits of the good reviews the show got.
